I started making prints because as a composer I was interested in the creative process of art making. The combination of the two artistic worlds - the visual as static (albeit expressing however much dynamism) and the musical as dynamic (albeit expressing however much static stillness) ended up being very supportive of my future work in general. Music and visual art began to complement each other, with musical compositions inspired by some of the paintings.

In both artistic directions, what is important to me is beauty, the expression of energy and emotion, rather than intellectual justifications. This is what I call "absolute poetry". I consider art to be a gnostic gift that is not only the way of the creator, but can also be the way of the listener, the viewer.
